A little about who & where we are
We opened our doors for the first time in July 2004, in a small unit on Parliament Street, Ramsey.
Selling satin throws, hand thrown pottery, ceramics, glassware and an array of
other household items. Our new shop had a light , spacious, gallery feel.
As our customers demands increased, so did our product range.
Soon the shop was taking on a totally different feel, as New England, French country and Moroccan
influences rubbed shoulders with traditional and modern designs from Scandinavia.

As we came across new suppliers we ordered more and more stock until our little shop was full to bursting.
Luckily the shop next door became available, so we decided to take the plunge and take a chance on trying
to manage two shops. We managed to get the second shop fitted out and stocked within two weeks, which
meant working in shop one during the day, then working on shop two until one or two in the morning.
The second shop complemented the first, as the first shop was modern with clean lines and glass shelving,
the second was older in character with carved wooden fittings and warn exposed floorboards.
Our first shop. August 2004.
Shop one. So full, our customers had difficulty getting in the door.
Shop one; Our card selection.
Shop one; Bedding department.
Shop two; Now this is more like it.
the tide 2 was now open...
Twelve months further on, and now both
shops were filled to the rafters with an ever
increasing selection of gorgeous items for
the home and garden, as well as a fantastic
selection of gifts, fashion and Jewellery. This
was also complemented by our expanding
selection of greetings cards and gift wrap
ranges.
But it didn't take us long to realise that we
were once again running out of space, and
that having two shops and an office at home
was becoming harder and harder......
"We needed an
even bigger Shop!"
So we moved
Shop three; A combination of the two previous shops.
Shop three; Our latest home is now open.
the tide 3, our latest move is now complete
We are now settled into our new surroundings and with everything, including
our office now under one roof, it became a little bit easier to manage.
We haven't moved far, just a few yards further up the street from our first
two shops, but with more space we hoped to increase our ranges even
further, bringing more choice, quality and larger items to our customers.
Our customers were delighted with the larger premises and with the space
they now had...." And so it begins again! "...
Twelve months further on and our selection is still growing ...." growing up
the stairs, up the walls and into the street.....

"I think were going to need a bigger shop!".
Where are we.....

Ramsey.
Located in the North-east of the Isle of Man , Ramsey sits sheltered beneath North Barrule and surrounding hillside.
This protection keeps the worst of the elements at bay, and gives the town a warmer yearly average temperature compared to other parts
of the island.
Sitting at the mouth of the Sulby River, the towns harbour is a hive of activity and a great place to sit and watch the world go by. Even if the
weather isn't so good,  you can still watch the boats from inside one of the harbour side pubs.
From West Quay you can cross the Sulby River via Ramsey swing bridge, this will lead you
to another of the towns attractions, Mooragh Park.
Along with some spectacular views, Mooragh Park also has a large boating lake,
children's play area, tennis courts, bowling green, a putting green and crazy golf.
There are also two cafés selling hot food, drinks and ice-creams.
Ramsey also has a fine Golf course, swimming baths, Trout fishing reservoir, some of
the best walks and views on the Island, oh!, and a fabulous Pier.
Queens Pier is the only surviving pier on the Island, but sadly is not open to the public
as it is in need of considerable restoration. Much debate has been held over the future
of this Historic structure, and 'The friends of Queens Pier' are fighting the cause to
save it from disappearing from the towns coastline.
The towns main shopping street is Parliament Street, were you will not only find
' the tide ', but a main shopping street full of independent retailers, a rare thing these
days. With the absence of the multi-nationals it gives the town an 'oldie world' feel.
And it's not a bad place to watch the motorbike racing either.
